New Winter Warmers for Autumn 2017: Ultraheat launches new valve collection - Posted 14th November 2017

Ultraheat, part of The Pitacs Group is set to launch a new range of domestic radiator valves ready for the chilly winter ahead.

Energy efficiency is a key consideration for home owners in 2017. Thermostatic valves provide the opportunity to take control of heating in each room, allowing for easily adjustable comfort levels and reducing energy consumption, and in turn heating bills.

The University of Salford is known to have reported after testing that heating controls can cut household bills by 40%. Individual room temperature controls such as TRVs were a key feature in achieving this saving.

Ian Gilbert, Sales Manager at Ultraheat (Part of the Pitacs Group); “Thermostatic radiator valves allow home owners to manage their heating use effectively. Rather than one consistent temperature across the whole house, the heat of rooms used most often or at certain times of the day can easily be controlled. Without simple controls like TRV’s the desired level of comfort cannot be achieved.”

Polished chrome, liquid filled heads, approved to the European Standard EN215, this new universal valve range provides homeowners and businesses greater choice. The collection adds to the company’s large product portfolio of in-stock radiators, valves and accessories. Ultraheat offers everything from panel radiators, to column radiators, designer radiators, towel rails and more.

All Ultraheat products are manufactured to meet industry standards, valves come with a one-year warranty. Produced to withstand daily use and are easy to operate, all Ultraheat products are available nationwide, with next day delivery services available.

What makes Plateau different? - Posted 20th October 2017

Plateau is the latest innovation to join the Ultraheat collection of radiators and towel rails. Tall, sleek and finished in the ultimate contemporary matt silver, what makes Plateau so special?

Apart from the appealing aesthetics, Plateau is made from aluminium, a material Ultraheat is beginning to explore more and more.

Saffet Kalender, Managing Director at Ultraheat (part of The Pitacs Group); “For those of you that know us well, you will be aware that we also provide the Aeon brand of handmade premium radiators and towel rails, which can be customised to create a bespoke product for the buyer. This range is comprised of high end products made from stainless steel and aluminium. What we as a company have learned through our many years of experience in the industry is that is how to now produce aluminium radiators with a stylish look, but at a more affordable price, than when we very first started out with the material. We intend to introduce more aluminium products into the Ultraheat range this year, starting with Plateau.”

So why aluminium?

Not only does aluminium heat up faster (potentially 5 times faster), provide less residual heat than stainless and mild steel, but it is now equally as easy to create shapes, styles and designs from the material.

Generally speaking aluminium radiators use less water, the low water content (even lower than steel panel radiators) which will help to reduce fuel bills as the boiler will heat up a smaller amount of water when heating an aluminium radiator. Aluminium extracts the heat in the circulating water and quickly transfers it into the room. In a retro-fit scenario a smaller radiator than its predecessor can be installed. Often referred to as ‘eco-radiators’, aluminium products are the ideal heating option for the energy saving home of business. At the end of it’s life, the aluminium radiator is fully and easily recyclable.

Easy and fast to install, aluminium radiators are lightweight (easier to transport and attach to walls) and are compatible with existing conventional heating systems. The usual valves and brackets can be used to accompany the aluminium radiator.

So going back to Plateau at the start, the versatility of aluminium means Ultraheat can provide the radiator in a multitude of sizes a huge range of finishes from ‘crocodile’ to brushed, polished, in all manner of colours for the consumer to choose from.

Ultraheat releases Hypo, new for Winter 2017 - Posted 13th October 2017

Hypo is the latest in the heating offering from Ultraheat. The ever-growing Ultraheat Premier Range offers good quality, long-lasting commercial and domestic heating products.

Joining towel warmers, panel radiators, column radiators and more, the new additional to the family; Hypo is a little different. Manufactured to the usual Ultraheat standard, Hypo is a heat exchange convector radiator.

Hypo works with conventional heating systems, using less energy than a traditional radiator. Due to low water content, Hypo heats up faster and no residual heat remains, meaning instantaneous heating and cooling. Valves are discreetly located underneath to provide energy efficient temperature control when coupled with a thermostatic valve.

Quicker to bring a room to the required temperature, Hypo has a low touch temperature for safety. Water is contained in the heat exchanger pipes and not the radiator surface to keep the surface cool.

With a grill made from high-grade aluminium and a smooth casing made from mild steel with stove enamel powder paint, Hypo can be powder coated in any RAL colour.

Floor mounted and low in height, Hypo is ideal for rooms with full length windows, or conservatory brick, Hypo can also be installed as a floor radiator (trench heating).

Hypo can be ordered in a length of up to 2000mm each, Ultraheat can also supply modular design for longer applications on request.
